New Award – The Golden Globes

We are always keen to recognise the stalwart efforts of the fracking industry’s supporters to keep us amused as we swim upstream against the tide of PR drivel.

We thought it would be appropriate to mark some of the more outstanding examples with a formal award.

So without further ado we announce today’s shortlist for Refracktion’s Golden Globes Award

The nominations are :

The New Statesman for this wonderful piece of meaningless guff

“Perhaps then the UK can find its own shale revolution using renewable, clean energy technology.”

and the Daily Telegraph for coining the creative oxymoron “reckless regulation”

“The European Union has been accused of killing off the prospect of cheap energy from shale gas by trying to impose with expensive and “reckless” regulation of fracking”

The Golden Globes

The Golden Globes

And the winner is …….

The New Statesman with

“Perhaps then the UK can find its own shale revolution using renewable, clean energy technology.”

Congratulations!

Please do feel free to email us at info@refracktion.org with any further nominations
